[Accessing Agency Billing](https://info.calbar.ca.gov/knowledge/en/agency-billing-guide?hsLang=en#accessing-agency-billing) # Registering your agency ## Learn how to register your agency or firm in the Agency Billing system You may watch the video below or follow the step-by-step instructions below to register your agency or firm in the Agency Billing system. --- To register your firm or organization, from the Agency Billing login page, click "Register Agency."  ![](https://info.calbar.ca.gov/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-00-16-2340-PM.png?width=415&height=486&name=image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-00-16-2340-PM.png) #### Registering as a first-time user When registering as a first-time user, you will first you will be asked to validate your firm or organization does not have an existing account by entering: - Your Agency/Firm legal name - Agency Federal Tax ID/Social Security Number - The email address for the Agency Account Administrator - The bar number for the California licensed attorney responsible for the Agency - The email address for the California licensed attorney responsible for the Agency. The email address must match the private/email address for State Bar communications on record for the attorney. **Note:** The email address you provide for the Agency Account Administrator will be the email used for all State Bar communications related to your Agency Billing account.  ![](https://info.calbar.ca.gov/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-01-01-2226-PM.png?width=670&height=428&name=image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-01-01-2226-PM.png) Click "Validate" to proceed.  A one-time passcode will be sent to the email address entered for the Agency Account Administrator.  Enter the one-time passcode and click "Verify" to proceed. ![](https://info.calbar.ca.gov/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-16-18-7472-PM.png?width=670&height=141&name=image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-16-18-7472-PM.png) Next, you will be asked to create your: - Sign In Account name, this is the name you will use to access your account, - Password - Short name, this can be the abbreviation of your agency/firm legal name  **Note:** You are not able to change or update your account's Sign In Account name after you have registered your firm or organization.  Click "Next" to proceed.  ![](https://info.calbar.ca.gov/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-20-07-5116-PM.png?width=670&height=302&name=image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-20-07-5116-PM.png) Finally, complete the remaining registration information requested for your agency, which includes: - Assigning your agency type. - Providing the contact information for you firm or organization. - Providing the address information for your firm or organization. - Setting up your account security questions. **Note:** Review the "Remember Computer?" section at the end of this page and check the box if applicable.  Click "Submit" to finalize your account registration.  ![](https://info.calbar.ca.gov/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-19-17-8414-PM.png?width=670&height=1056&name=image-png-Jan-29-2026-11-19-17-8414-PM.png)   **Note:** As a first time user, you will be designated the "Super Admin" of your account.
