Associating a Law Corp in Agency Billing

Associating a Law Corporation allows the Agency to submit required annual renewal applications for the Law Corporation, to the State Bar. 

Law Corporations can only be associated to one Agency Billing account at a time. Users are unable to un-associate without State Bar IT support. Please ensure you associate the correct LC. 

  1. Log in to Agency Billing. 
  2. Go to the Law Corporation tile and click "Go to Law Corp."
  3. Click on the "Law Corp List" option.
  4. Select "Add existing Law Corporation." You may have to scroll to the right to access this option. 
  5. Enter the 5-digit LC registration number with the State Bar of California. (This number can be found on any previously completed renewals or the LC's approval and Certificate of Registration with the State Bar.  - Do not enter the Agency Billing account/firm ID number.
    1. This is the name and zip on record for the LC from the last renewal. Don't worry if it is outdated, it can be updated when submitting a renewal application. 
  6. Upon entering the registration number, the system will provide the name and zip code of the corresponding Law Corporation. Once you confirm it is the correct Law Corp., click "Submit."
    1. Avoid clicking the "review Record" button. This will require State Bar staff to confirm you are associating the correct Law Corp, which will take 10-12 days.  
  7. You have now associated the Law Corporation to your Agency Billing account. Click “Continue” on the far right side of the grid to access and update the information on record for the Law Corporation through a renewal application.
