Identify your application type and follow the applicable instructions below. ### **Annual Renewal** **![](https://info.calbar.ca.gov/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Oct-01-2026-04-35-34-1822-PM.png?width=624&height=330&name=undefined-Oct-01-2026-04-35-34-1822-PM.png)** 1. Answer the question “Did your Limited Liability Partnership stop practicing law before August 3rd of this renewal cycle?” 2. Once the question is answered, click “Continue” to continue the application. - Selecting “Yes,” means the firm stopped practicing law **BEFORE** the beginning of the renewal cycle (August 3rd). The application will be rerouted to a dissolution/closure application. - Click “Continue,” provide the closure date and document, click the declaration button, and “Continue” once more. - Selecting “No,” means the firm is **still practicing or** a closure occurred **on or AFTER** the beginning of the renewal cycle (August 3rd). - A closure occurs **on or after August 3rd, firms are required to complete renewal application**. Once a renewal application is approved, a dissolution can be submitted to report a closure that occurs after the beginning of a renewal cycle. **Please Note:** If the firm ceased practicing after the start of the current renewal cycle, the firm is required to complete a renewal application before submitting a dissolution/closure application. ### **New Application** **New registration applications do not include a dissolution reporting segment**. A newly registered LLP may submit a closure at any time by selecting the “Dissolve” button in the approved Agency Billing application on record.
